Our Place Nashville empowers adults with developmental disabilities by creating affordable housing and inclusive communities that foster independence and belonging.

SERVICES - HOW WE DO IT

We believe that every person deserves the same opportunities for safety, happiness, and inclusion. With just a little extra support from neighbors and community, adults with disabilities can live full, meaningful, and independent lives. Since our founding, we have focused on addressing two of the greatest barriers for adults with developmental disabilities: affordable housing and true community inclusion. Many adults with disabilities live on limited incomes, making safe and stable housing unattainable in Nashville’s rising housing market. At the same time, traditional housing models often isolate people with disabilities from the broader community, limiting opportunities for friendship, connection, and independence. Our Place Nashville offers a different path. Each of our properties is intentionally designed to be both affordable and welcoming. We bring together residents with and without disabilities, creating neighborhoods where everyone is valued and supported. This model opens the door for independence that is typically out of reach—helping residents build lasting relationships, pursue personal goals, and feel a true sense of belonging. Through housing that is safe, affordable, and inclusive, Our Place Nashville continues to create communities where adults with developmental disabilities are not only supported but also celebrated for who they are. Our Place Nashville addresses three urgent and interconnected needs for adults with developmental disabilities: affordable housing, inclusive communities, and the development of independence skills. For the past ten years, our model has combined all three—providing safe, dignified housing while fostering true community and equipping adults to live with greater independence and belonging.
